Movement is good for our mental health. There are many reasons we struggle to move enough so the aim of this awareness week is to help people find more moments for movement in their daily routines.

There are lots of resources available on the Mental Health Foundation website, they are actively encouraging as many people as possible to get involved.

Wear It Green Day

Let’s turn the world green for good mental health! on Thursday 16th May. You can download a resources pack which includes conversation cards (to help get people talking), a quiz, posters and a sweet-stake - everyone loves a little flutter and fun work days can only be good for morale and in turn, good for our mental health! This is also an ideal opportunity to promote positive mental health awareness to your patients, to encourage them to talk and seek help. Social prescribers, care coordinators and other mental health organisations may want to get involved, you could arrange a waiting room coordinator each day to talk to patients.

Positive mental health is always important, not just for this 1 week but this is an ideal week to shout about it.
