Do you have a backlog of documents causing you major headaches currently?

Does this impact your clinicians workload?

Is this due to lack of resources or lack of training?

Back in April 2022, as the country was getting back to the new normal, one of the hardest hit areas was document management. Firstly, many practices had a high turnover of staff, this resulted in your pre-COVID workflow process being disrupted and GP’s admin workload was out of control once again. Secondly, with huge waiting lists, secondary care were adding lots of new clinics and document processing as a result of this became a never ending battle for practices. So with admin & clinicians drowning under a sea of paperwork, Insight created their Primary Care Back-Office Coding Team.

Requests from practices came flying in, we couldn’t grow the coding team quickly enough, and we understand why. A backlog of documents means patient records are not up-to-date, this has a knock-on effect with patient’s having to contact the practice multiple times, adding to your workload which causes untold stress on everyone - administrators because the backlog number just keeps going up and up and clinicians because their admin workload increases (and they do not like admin!)

So if you have a backlog issue, a staffing crisis which will likely result in a backlog issue if you don’t find some temporary cover, or a ‘broken workflow process’, contact us for more information. We can help provide expert, ready-trained temp cover for a few days, weeks or months or we can review your current protocol, tweak it here and there, configure your clinical system to reflect your protocol and deliver any necessary training to your team.
