Key points -
- Used to enhance patient care, not a tick-box exercise
- The use of informed dissent should generally be very minimal - only used where patient has not had 2 invites & chat with GP
- If you have used the correct disease invite codes, once you have sent 2 invites at least 7 days apart, you will not be penalised for the patient not attending
- Single indicator exceptions should still be used to indicate good patient care
- Intolerance, allergy, service not available, maximum tolerated
- Where relevant, add free text to back up your use of a code
- Apply codes based on clinical judgement, based on individual patient, no blanket codes should be applied
- Do not use a top-level code for a specific indicator
